The People Behind the Forage

Meet Our Guides

Passionate gatherers, experienced chefs, and devoted woodland wanderers.

Our Story

What began as quiet weekends exploring the deep forests has blossomed into a shared community of wild food enthusiasts. We believe that the landscape holds an incredible pantry, accessible to anyone willing to look closer.

Every trail holds a different flavor, and every season writes a new menu. We gather to respect the woodland, preserve traditional methods, and bring the wild straight to the communal table.

Meet The Team

Portrait of our lead foraging guide

Elias

Lead Gatherer

With a lifetime spent navigating the dense local forests, Elias specializes in identifying obscure edible flora and seasonal mushrooms. His deep understanding of the coastal and woodland ecosystems ensures every walk is both safe and richly informative.

When not on the trail guiding groups, he is usually preserving the season's bounty, pickling wild shoots, or mapping out new routes for our future expeditions.

Linnea

Wild Chef

Linnea bridges the gap between the forest floor and the dining table. Trained in rustic culinary traditions, she transforms wild herbs, roots, and fungi into the memorable courses featured at our supper club.

She often leads our culinary-focused walks, showing guests not just how to identify wild ingredients, but exactly how to prepare them to elevate their natural flavors back in their own kitchens.

Foraging Responsibly

Our walks strictly adhere to sustainable gathering practices. We are guests in the wilderness, and we leave it exactly as we found it.

1

Leave No Trace

We harvest sparingly, ensuring local plant and fungal populations continue to thrive for seasons to come. We never deplete a single patch completely.

2

Know Your Ground

We only gather in clean, unpolluted areas, far from heavy traffic and industrial zones, to guarantee the purity and safety of every ingredient we serve.

3

Absolute Certainty

Safety is our primary concern. We never pick or consume anything unless we are one hundred percent certain of its identification.

A Few Notes

What to expect when exploring the landscape with our team.

  • Weather Preparation

Our walks proceed in most conditions. Our guides will always ensure the route is safe, but we kindly ask that you dress suitably for the elements, bringing sturdy footwear and waterproof layers.

  • Pace & Accessibility

We move at a slow, observational pace. The focus is on discovery rather than distance, making most of our routes highly accessible. If you have specific mobility requirements, let us know in advance.

  • Private Consultations

If you own land and wish to understand its edible potential, our guides are available for private surveys. Reach out via email to discuss a consultation visit.
